Sometimes I really get upset with the "suck out every penny that you can today from your customers" mentality from the local businesses so here is a chance to strike back. UNE will reduce your monthly rate plans simply by asking. Seems TelMex is cleaning their clock but UNE does not want to admit it.

So, call 444 4141. When the voice activation prompt starts, select option #1, then option # 2 then option # 3. Tell them you want to adjust your plan to the new rates. You will realize 35-40,000 pesos per month in savings on internet and local phone service. Does not apply to television.

Shame they just didn't announce an across the board rate reduction but then again, you are dealing with a Colombian customer service mentality. "how much can I get today instead of how can I keep my customers happy for a long term relationship"?

When will they ever learn?
