Built between 1959 and 1965 with the architect's plans of Nel Rodríguez. It has a capacity for 883 spectators and it has rooms for exhibitions and dressing rooms. In front of the theater the Avenue The Beach, a modern luminous source exists. Amid this is the sculpture "The Bachué", in honor of the teacher José Horacio Betancur. New shows weekly. There are no bad seats.
TEATRO METROPOLITANO DE MEDELLIN

Designed in 1981 by the architect Oscar Table, it has capacity for 1.634 spectators. Inaugurated in 1987, it has possibility to adapt the space for mechanical means to the different demands of acoustic and visual types; it has an area of 20 mts. long by 17 mts. wide. It has spaces dedicated to schools and rehearsals. Headquarters of the Music's Corporation Development and of the Philharmonic Orchestra from Medellín. Many world renowned musicians play here for special events.

Inaugurated in September of 1985, it offers programming that demonstrates a true commitment to the cultural promotion of the city. It carries out a vital cultural function for the University located here and it has opened many new possibilities for the community of Medellín.

Inside the Residential Unit Marco Fidel Suárez, designed by the architect Eduardo Arango, for the Institute of Territorial Credit between 1971 and 1981, is the theater, given to the city July 21 1983 for the I.C.T. in homage to the writer antioqueño Porfirio Beard Jacob. It exalts the Colombian folklore through all types of musical manifestations. It serves like a room of conference theaters and cinema. Capacity: 390 spectators.

It was the first concert hall in the city. It has capacity for 300 spectators. It is decorated with eight beautiful landscapes to the teacher's oil Eladio Vásquez. Their programming includes concerts of classic, contemporary and Colombian music, plays, forums of civic interest and cultural events of public schools and private entities
