San Jeronimo Finca - Shangri La in the Mountains
Size - finca - 20 cuadras (blocks) - this can be subdivided and purchased as part of two or four parcels. The land is available for development in the future should you wish to; as many as 16 homes could be built; Located one hour northwest of Medellin
Altitude - approx 1100 meters - temperature might be considered to be similar to Cali; warmer than Medellin
House - 400 sq meters (recently remodeled) - would be fine for temporary lodging if a new house is to be built
5 BR, 3 BA, one floor, pool, lounge area, patio, caretaker's house, own water system - water is spring fed and excellent quality; there is a built in irrigation system and there are all kinds of fruit trees, an orchard and a vegetable garden
No rental history but would expect $350 to 500K pesos/ night in season
Fish pond stocked with tilapia (about the size of a swimming pool), picturesque stream splits the property, very quiet, multiple beautiful views, plenty of space and excellent location to build a new home.
One interesting intangible is the sound of the stream - like a babbling brook. You can hear it from inside the home. Reminds one of the peaceful sound of a running stream in a Japanese pagoda. I imagine it is very peaceful at night.
The lot just below the main house (you can see the soccer field in the pictures) would be excellent for building a new home if one desired. It is large and there is a 240 degree panoramic view of mountains and valleys.
There is a road below the finca that could be connected to your home and would save about 40% of the drive up. Right now figure 12-15 minutes from main road and if you connect to the new road, probably 8-10 minutes.
The parrots and other birds are included. Livestock not included in the price. Owner has had the finca in his family for 30 years but wants to sell to help expand his business (he owns a chain of 10 butcher shops in Medellin).
Asking price includes all furnishings but not horses or any livestock -
