Like to take in a movie while you are in Medellin?
Don't worry, most are in English with Spanish subtitles!
Most of the larger malls in Medellin also have Cineplex theaters with multiple movies showing and Paisas love going to a Pelicula.
You will find modern theaters, rocking chair full back seats, tiered seating, full concession stands, early showings (but not many matinees), late showings, uniformed staff and a variety of newly released movies. You will also find lower prices. About $2.50-$3.00 in most places. In some theaters you can call ahead and reserve seats for popular showings but you pay a small premium.
Travel Tip: Most theaters offer both regular and carmel popcorn. Make sure you know which one you are ordering.
Think of it this way; Dinner and a movie; Movie and dinner; Flick and a local club. Whatever your preferences, a movie can set the stage for a perfect evening in Medellin.
